Back in June 2015, after a little back and forth of whether to do it, I decided to join a summer bowling league at Homefield Bowl in Yonkers with my friends.  Little did I know that I would soon be meeting my future husband!  I met Eugene the first week of bowling -  my team bowled the team he was subbing for - and then the following week, what do you know - we bowled against him again.  One moment Eugene likes to laugh about from that second week is when he threw an amazing shot, I was standing up there waiting to bowl, and on his way back instead of saying the normal "nice shot" or "wow great ball" the only thing that could come out of my mouth was "hey."  Fast forward two more weeks - Eugene was subbing for my team now - and right as I was leaving to go home he asked if I would want to go out sometime when I got home (yes of course I was leaving the next day to spend two weeks in Arizona) - my answer was 100% yes.  From that day on it was non-stop talking - we spoke while I was on the plane, we spoke every day that I was in Arizona and he even picked me up when I returned home on the red eye flight at 7am with flowers for me (I knew right there he was someone special) - and that day we also went on our very first date to the Met game.  We became an official couple on July 17, 2015.  We've been on many vacations, in July 2016 we adopted our boxer/pitbull Lizzie, in June 2017 we bought a house, and in July 2017 we got engaged.  In two years, we have accomplished so much and we can't wait to start the next chapter of our lives together.  And it all started in a bowling alley!
